Practicing ahimsa in its literal sense implies non-violent behavior, but truly embodying this in everyday life it is far more than that - practicing compassion towards all living beings through thoughts, feelings and words for OTHERs and YOURSELF <3
Now, that might not always come easy, am I right? ;)
To me ahimsa also includes not hurting our environment and community, e.g. by eating local, ecological food, which was produced under fair conditions, whenever possible.
Plus for you: Your veggies not only arrive fresher & tastier, by nature they are seasonal & (hopefully) with less packaging – it´s a win-win for you and the environment J
How did you practice ahimsa today?
